Personal Ramblings

One of my favorite sayings of all time has to be this one:

“Be Fearlessly Authentic”

And I've been thinking a lot about it lately.

For me being fearlessly authentic means knowing and understanding yourself, your beliefs and your goals; and perusing them with passion and energy. When you’re authentic, genuine and relatable, you will connect with people; and for me, connecting with people is one of the most powerful things you can do. People who are fearlessly authentic make great leaders because they make you want to follow them, they seem to have a certain way of making you want to hang out with them… an addictive personality.

Being honest and true to yourself about what you stand for, what you don’t stand for, and what your aiming for in life is sometimes difficult in todays society so I have a lot of respect for fearlessly authentic people. Exposing your values and goals to other people is a pretty big deal and often opens us up, making us vulnerable to discrimination or disrespect; but at the same time it offers the opportunity for others to connect with you on a deeper level. I think when you live in a fearlessly authentic manner, you attract people who share your drive, passion, and energy, whilst distancing yourself from those who don’t. Surrounding yourself with people who share your dreams, who you can be honest and open with is, in my eyes, the first step to living a meaningful life.

A little deep and meaningful but good to have this kind of stuff written down to refer back to in future!
