When you’re a 22 year old female trying to change the world you can get a bit of push back; it happens on the big jobs. Occasionally I struggle a little bit with gaining credibility due to my age, and young appearance – some people seem to get stuck at my appearance rather than considering what’s behind my short stature and curly hair…

Often I find that if you’re ‘acting the part’ and feeling confident about yourself, you command a lot more respect. One great tool for commanding respect is dressing the part. If I’ve got an important meeting or am working on a big project I’ll spend some extra time getting ready in the morning so I feel 100% confident with how I look. I command respect when you walk into that meeting purely based on my confidence levels!

I’m quite short so one of the best ‘quick fixes’ for me is to put a pair of heels on, which instantly gives me a boost in both height and also confidence. I also don’t often wear lipstick so adding a touch of colour to my lips shakes up my routine and makes me feel fierce. Although small changes, they make such a difference to my attitude and as a result the outcome of my meeting and whole day.

Plus I love getting dressed up and trying new outfits anyway!
